A pedestrian who was killed in a hit-and-run in North Hollywood was identified Monday, and police continued their efforts to find the motorist.
The crash took place at Lankershim Boulevard south of Valerio Street about 4 a.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Heriberto Jimenez, 36, of Sun Valley, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The hit-and-run vehicle was described only as a “dark colored truck,” police said.
A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the Los Angeles City Council for information that helps police solve a fatal hit-and-run.
