A 31-year-old man was wounded Monday morning in a shooting in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred about 1:20 a.m. at 48th and Hoover Streets, Los Angeles Police Department Officer D. Orris told City News Service.
The man was walking in the area and heard gunshots, then realized he’d been wounded by an unknown suspect, Orris said.
A private party drove the victim to a hospital where his vital signs were stable, the officer said.
