Two men accused of being in possession of a stolen shipment of copper sheets valued at $175,000 were in custody Wednesday, police said.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Commercial Crimes Division Cargo Theft Unit conducted the investigation. Detectives arrested Brian Sam, 55, of Upland and Nicholas Minasyan, 22, of Santa Clarita, according to the LAPD.

Both suspects were booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property. Charges are pending against the suspects by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

“The Los Angeles Police Department will continue to diligently investigate and arrest perpetrators of these types of crime,” police said in a statement.
