A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers also issued 15 citations for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license during the checkpoint, which was held at Paramount Boulevard and Seaboard Lane from 6 a.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Police reported that 953 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 436 drivers/vehicles were screened.
