A 16-year-old boy suspected of fatally stabbing one 20-year-old man in Fullerton and injuring a second was arrested Friday.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of West Valencia Drive, between Gilbert Street and Magnolia Avenue, around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a fight in progress, according to Kristy Wells, a Fullerton Police Department public information specialist.
“Officers located two 20-year-old males, both with significant stab wounds, lying in the street,” Wells said. “One male victim was transported to a local trauma center, where he was pronounced deceased. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.”
After a thorough investigation, detectives were able to develop several leads to identify a suspect, leading to the arrest of the 16-year-old boy Friday, Wells said.
The suspect was taken to Orange County Juvenile Hall where he was booked on suspicion of murder, Wells said. His name was not released due to his age.
