A motorist suffered a minor injury Monday in a collision involving a Metro Blue Line train in unincorporated Willowbrook.

Paramedics sent to 119th Street and Willowbrook Avenue about 7:35 a.m. transported the person to a hospital, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

Blue Line service was suspended along that stretch of track, and bus shuttles were sent to the scene to accommodate rail passengers while an investigation was conducted.

According to the preliminary investigation, the motorist made an illegal turn in front of the train and the car was struck, said Metro spokesman Jose Ubaldo.

The signals and crossing arms were working properly, Ubaldo said.
