One person was killed and a child was hurt Monday in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 405 in Long Beach, authorities said.
Crews were dispatched about 10 a.m. to the southbound lanes near the Lakewood Boulevard exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Southbound lanes at Lakewood Boulevard were temporarily closed due to the collision.
The cause of the accident and condition of the victims was not immediately available.
