Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau surrounded a home in Palmdale Saturday and were trying to convince a suspect to come out peacefully.

The SEB was called about 1:50 p.m. Saturday to the 37400 block of Oxford Drive, near Victory Outreach Palmdale Christian Church and west of 25th Street East, but the incident may have started at least two hours earlier.

A news videographer said neighbors at the scene told him a pool maintenance man discovered a bloody scene at the home and arriving deputies called SEB when they learned the suspect was inside.

The LASD has not yet confirmed the information or provided additional details.

Surrounding homes were evacuated for residents’ safety, sheriff’s officials said.
