Another abandoned multi-million dollar mansion in the Hollywood Hills has been covering with graffiti, it was reported Tuesday.
The four-story home sits on Sunset Plaza Drive and has been abandoned for years, neighbor Jorgen Christiansson told KTLA5.
“It’s just such a shame,” Christiansson told the station. “It’s such a beautiful mansion and it’s just kind of being destroyed because it’s been empty.”
Christiansson said he and a neighbor first noticed the graffiti starting to appear on the home over the weekend and called police, who took two suspects into custody.
The home is apparently owned by John Middleton, whose father owns the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team, according to KTLA5, which reported that another mansion owned by Middleton was covered in graffiti and destroyed by vandals on Mulholland Drive last week.
Los Angeles Police Department officers reportedly have responded to that property multiple times for calls involving burglary and trespassing.
Nearby residents have shared concerns for their safety, saying the tagging is getting worse. Christiansson said the property on Sunset Plaza Drive was a problem last year too, attracting squatters and even illegal pop-up parties.
