A fire scorched about an acre of brush Wednesday in the Pacific Palisades area, but no structures were threatened.
Firefighters were sent to the 1400 block of North Palisades Drive at 9:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire burned in heavy brush in a hilly area near the reservoir, but there were no significant winds, the LAFD reported.
“The precisely targeted, rapid water drops from LAFD Air Operations combined with the firefighter’s aggressive fire attack on the ground held the fire to approximately one acre …” an LAFD statement said. “No structures damaged and no injuries reported.”
The fire’s size was initially listed by the LAFD at five acres. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
