Firefighters were battling flames that engulfed a house Saturday evening in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 8:52 p.m. Saturday at 4605 N. Tobias Ave., just south of the Ventura (101) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Taylor Rappaport.
The single-story, single-family house with a detached garage, was fully involved when firefighters arrived, he said.
There were reports that the roof was about to collapse and that power lines were down, Rappaport said.
