A person was killed and another person was injured Wednesday when a vehicle flew off an off-ramp to the Foothill (210) Freeway in Azusa and smashed into a parked vehicle at a McDonald’s restaurant, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 5 a.m. Wednesday at the South Azusa Avenue off-ramp to the eastbound 210 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene at 5:07 a.m. rushed one person to a hospital, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
The accident began as a two-vehicle crash involving a Porsche SUV and a Ford on the eastbound freeway, forcing one of the vehicles to smash into a guardrail, fly off the freeway and land in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 219 S. Azusa Ave., the CHP said.
No further information was immediately available.
