A man was shot to death inside a Temecula home Saturday and the suspect called law enforcement to report the shooting.
The shooting was reported at 4:59 a.m. Saturday in the 32900 block of Josheroo Court, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jarred Bishop.
“The caller, identified as Micah Harris, a 22-year-old male from Temecula, advised that he had just shot another adult male inside the residence,” Bishop said. “Deputies arrived on scene and detained Harris.”
The deputies located the deceased man inside the house, the sergeant said. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
Homicide detectives were summoned to the home to investigate the death and determined Harris should be arrested, Bishop said. Harris was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for suspicion of murder.
Even though there were several other people in the house when deputies arrived, detectives determined there were no other known suspects, he said.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Investigator Kevin Farag or Master Investigator Travis Gilbert of the Central Homicide Unit at 951-955-2777.
