The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday for the eighth time in nine days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.532.
The average price has risen by 4.1 cents over the past nine days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose a half-cent last Sunday and four-tenths of a cent Monday, dropped four-tenths of a cent Tuesday and resumed increasing Wednesday.
The average price is 3.2 cents more than one week ago and 11.6 cents higher than one month ago but 14.9 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.962 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose for the seventh consecutive day, increasing a half-cent to $4.487, a day after rising nine-tenths of a cent. It has risen 5.2 cents in seven days, including nine-tenths of a cent Sunday. It is 14.3 cents higher than one month ago but 13.5 cents less than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.972 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged at $3.098, a day after decreasing for the ninth time in 10 days. It has fallen 3.7 cents over the past 11 days, including four-tenths of a cent Sunday. The national average price dropped five consecutive days, was unchanged Wednesday and resumed decreasing Thursday.
The national average price is 2.4 cents less than one week ago and 5.2 cents lower than one year ago but 3.1 cents more than one month ago. It has dropped $1.918 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
