Officers recovered two handguns while patrolling in Long Beach, authorities said Tuesday.
Police attempted to stop a group of males around 7 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West Scott Street, but the suspects fled on foot, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers detained two suspects, police said.
“During their investigation, officers recovered two firearms in the area where the subjects were,” according to a police statement.
The investigation remained ongoing.
