The teen was struck at about 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of San Pedro and 99th streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The boy was riding northbound on San Pedro Street when he was struck by a dark-colored Toyota Corolla that was also going northbound, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
