A 45-year-old man who was fatally shot in Compton was identified Monday.
The shooting occurred at about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of South Whitemarsh Avenue, one block south of Alondra Boulevard, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Compton Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Juan Ramirez.
There was no suspect information.
