One person was killed Friday evening when the vehicle they were driving left the roadway and crashed down an embankment in Palmdale.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 9:47 p.m. to Juniper Ridge Road and Angeles Forest Highway where they found a black Honda Civic approximately 50 feet down the embankment and the victim lying outside the car, CHP Officer Megan Curtis told City News Service.
The victim — whose name, age and gender were not immediately known — was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, Curtis said.
