The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Wednesday for the 15th time in 16 days, dropping 1.5 cents to $4.513, a day after dropping 1.4 cents.
The average price has decreased 14.7 cents over the past 16 days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped five consecutive days, was unchanged March 2 and resumed dropping the next day.
The average price is 7.6 cents less than one week ago, 8.9 cents lower than one month and 29.3 cents below one year ago. It has dropped $1.86 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the fifth time in six days, decreasing one-tenth of a cent to $4.687, a day after dropping eight-tenths of a cent. It is 2.7 cents less than one week ago, 6.9 cents lower than a month ago and 31.4 cents below one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.936 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
