A motorcycle rider was hospitalized in critical condition Friday after colliding with a vehicle in Long Beach.
The crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. Friday as both the motorcycle and vehicle were traveling southbound on Cherry Avenue near 65th Street, Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Bradford Stein told City News Service.
Officers found the motorcyclist suffering from serious upper body injuries, Stein said.
Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the motorcyclist by ambulance to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to Stein.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation, Stein said.
The motorcyclist’s name and age were not immediately released.
