Police asked for the public’s help Friday in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Canoga Park.
Officers responded at around 9:19 p.m. Thursday to the 8500 block of International Avenue following reports of an assault, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. They found a man on the sidewalk suffering from a sharp-force injury, police said.
“A confrontation ensued, resulting in the suspect stabbing the victim in the upper extremities. The suspect then fled the scene on foot,” police said in a statement.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
