Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 12:31 a.m. Thursday to the 13300 block of Roscoe Boulevard, near the Tujunga Wash, where they found the sedan had slammed into the semi-truck, trapping the victims inside the sedan, an LAPD spokesman told City New Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victims dead.
One victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as 51-year-old Aris Sanchez Fonseca. The second victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
