The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped 1.1 cents Saturday to $4.749, its 11th decrease in 12 days.

The average price has dropped 8.7 cents over the past 12 days, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 16.2 cents less than one month ago and 58.3 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.744 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price also dropped 1.1 cents, to $4.694. It is 5 cents less than one week ago, 18.2 cents less than one month ago and 55.7 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.764 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped 1 cent to $3.17. It is 1.7 cents more than one week ago, but 8.9 cents less than one month ago and 49.6 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.846 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
