Firefighters battled a house fire Saturday in which flames showed from a Valley Glen home.
The fire was reported at 5:35 p.m. Saturday at 5937 N. Cantaloupe Ave., east of Woodman Avenue and south of Oxnard Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
First-arriving firefighters saw heavy fire at the single-story house, Lantz said.
A large outside fire, however, caused minor damage to the garage, she said. Firefighters quickly put out the flames. The department did not report the time at which the fire was extinguished.
No injuries were reported.
