Firefighters knocked down a fire at a home and a converted detached garage in the Chesterfield Square area of Los Angeles Saturday evening.
The fire at 2009 W. 67th St. was reported shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took nearly 60 firefighters less than half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
“Despite initial reports of victims possibly trapped, no occupants have been found or injuries reported,” the department stated.
Department of Water and Power personnel responded to a report of wires down at the scene, and a hazardous materials crew was called in regarding “materials storage.”
An investigation is underway.
