The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office Thursday identified an 84-year-old man who was fatally stabbed Wednesday afternoon in Hancock Park.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the 100 block of Rossmore Avenue, near Wilshire Country Club, around 4 p.m. Wednesday to investigate reports of a possible stabbing victim.
The victim, later identified as Gary Nelson, was pronounced dead at the scene inside a residence, authorities confirmed.
It was unclear what motivated the fatal stabbing and a suspect description was not immediately available.
