An armed woman who ran onto the Orange (57) Freeway was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday evening in San Dimas.
The collision was reported at 9:32 p.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway and the Arrow Highway on-ramp where the woman was struck by freeway traffic, CHP Officer Megan Curtis told City News Service.
According to reports from the scene, deputies from San Dimas Sheriff’s Station were pursing the woman on foot when she ran onto the freeway and was struck by an SUV. Deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel attempted life -saving measures on the woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Curtis said it was not immediately known why the woman was being pursed by deputies.
The fatal collision closed three lanes of the southbound freeway at Arrow Highway for an unknown duration and an investigation of the collision will be handled by both the CHP and the sheriff’s department.

Her family will say she didn’t deserve to die and try to sue. Watch and see. Smh
