A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Lake Elsinore Tuesday.

The motorcyclist was discovered unresponsive in the street by deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station who had come to the intersection of Riverside and Lehr drives at approximately 11:35 a.m. Tuesday to reports regarding a major collision, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

Life-saving measures were performed immediately by the deputies until the arrival of Riverside County Fire Department paramedics, who, despite continuing to provide aid to the victim, pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene as Lake Elsinore Traffic Team personnel conducted an investigation. Neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor leading to the crash, authorities said.

The victim’s name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Anyone with information regarding the collision was urged to call Deputy Petersen at 951-245-3000 or dispatch at 951-776-1099.
