A paving project will begin next week to improve street conditions through grinding and repaving in select neighborhoods in Indio.
Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with temporary street closures and parking restrictions, city officials said.
On Aug. 11-12, the Palm Meadows neighborhood will have grinding and overlay work along Palm Meadows Drive to Avenue 46.
Construction crews will move to the Santa Fe neighborhood on Aug. 13-15, where work will commence along Monte Vista Drive and Red Bluff Road.
The one-day work on Aug. 18 will move to Country Club Drive near Avenue 42.
On Aug. 19-22, work in the Central Indio neighborhood from Miles Avenue to north of Saidy Avenue will conclude the project.
Funding for the project was provided by Measure X, dedicated to street repair, public safety, infrastructure upgrades, park improvements and other community priorities.
