A 68-year-old man who was fatally struck by vehicles while standing at the center divider on the Orange (57) Freeway in San Dimas was identified by county authorities Wednesday.

The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway near state Route 71, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Thomas Percy, who the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified as the victim, was wearing a white shirt and had been walking slowly southbound in the slow lane prior to the crash, the CHP said. He may have earlier exited from a white Honda sedan.

All southbound traffic lanes were re-opened at 2:08 a.m.
