Firefighters Saturday knocked down an auto fire that extended into a metal clad commercial building in downtown Los Angeles and where a person inside the vehicle was transported to a hospital for burn injuries, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 6:34 a.m. to 1010 S. Hooper Ave. had the fire out within 30 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
A person inside the involved automobile was transported to a hospital for burn injuries.
“Units will remain on scene for approximately two hours to confirm complete extinguishment of the fire,” said Jennifer Middleton of the Los Angeles Fire Department. “LAFD Arson has been requested for additional investigation.”
