A man was killed and five people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Sunday morning on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Lancaster, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 1 a.m. Sunday on the northbound freeway at 20th Street West, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The five injured victims were all hospitalized, the CHP said. Their conditions were not immediately known.
A Sigalert issued at 1:15 a.m. closing all northbound lanes of the freeway at 20th Street West was canceled at 5:51 a.m.
No further information was immediately available.

The 14 freeway has been a disaster for months, even years with this construction project. It is taking way too long. Private contractors rebuilt the earthquake damaged interchange at the 14 and 5 in a few months back in 1994. But California cannot get it together with this 14 project.
