A 56-year-old man suspected of murder after detectives linked him to the death of a woman whose body was found in Lancaster has been arrested, authorities said Wednesday.
Michael Bates Jr. was taken into custody Sunday after being located by homicide detectives in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Iesha Massey, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Bates was booked on suspicion of murder and was being held on $2 million bail.
Massey’s body was discovered on Nov. 19 near Challenger Way and Avenue E-8. The motive leading to her death has not been provided.
