A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday in Hacienda Heights.
The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a call at 5:20 p.m. Sundy regarding a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Gale and Valencia avenues.
Eastbound traffic was blocked for an investigation.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP. A description of the victim was not provided.
It was not immediately clear if the driver stopped at the scene, as required by law. No arrests were immediately made.
