Bags of coins were stolen Monday morning during a burglary at a Huntington Beach laundry, authorities said.
Police were summoned by an alarm to the Beach City Laundry at 10132 Adams Avenue at 1:48 a.m., said Huntington Beach police Lt. Steve Bushhousen. They found the front window smashed, Bushhousen said.
Laundry owner Gary Slizga said bags of change containing $500 to $800 were taken from under a counter, a news videographer reported from the scene.
Police said they had the description of a possible vehicle involved in the burglary, a white 1990s compact, possibly a Toyota Corolla.
