The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose a half-cent Sunday to $4.184, its second consecutive small increase after dropping to its lowest amount since June 21, 2021.

The average price is 1.8 cents less than one week ago, 39 cents less than one month ago and 9.1 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.189 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped eight-tenths of a cent to $2.828. It is 3 cents less than one week ago, 19.4 cents less than one month ago and 19.8 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $2.188 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
