Authorities sought the public’s assistance in locating an at-risk 74-year-old woman who requires medication and was last seen Friday in Lakewood.
Yvonne Bernadette Barela was last seen at 4:30 a.m. Friday in the 5000 block of Knoxville Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Barela was described as a 5-foot-4-inch-tall white woman weighing 200 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, pants, and a jade ring.
Sheriff’s officials believe Barela is possibly in the 9000 block of Bloomfield Avenue in Cypress. They added that her family is growing increasingly concerned about her well-being.
