Sunny skies are expected to return to Riverside County this week after several days of rain, with a small amount of rain Monday and possibly Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

“Dry weather may return as early as Wednesday, with greater chances for dry conditions by Thursday or Friday,” the NWS said.

Monday morning and evening in the Riverside metropolitan, Temecula and Hemet areas are expected to be wet, with high temperatures in the low 60s.

“Not much precipitation is behind this band, but there should be at least isolated showers diminishing later this morning,” said the NWS. “It looks dry after that as ensemble members show very little to no measurable precipitation later today through Tuesday.”

In Coachella, skies are expected to be mostly sunny on Monday with a high near 70 while Palm Springs was predicted to have a slight chance of showers before 10 a.m. and a high around 67, according to the NWS.

“Current forecast has a 15%-25% chance of precipitation for Tuesday into Wednesday morning with dry conditions for much of Wednesday into Thursday,” the NWS announced.

Warmer conditions along with periods of Santa Ana winds are expected throughout the Western United States by next Saturday.
