A 57-year-old man was behind bars Thursday on suspicion of killing another man in Buena Park last month.
Barney Lee, 57, was arrested Wednesday night at Buena Park Psychic, 7465 La Palma Ave., according to Buena Park police Sgt. Martin Tomsick. Lee is accused of killing 29-year-old Elton Harrell of Buena Park, Tomsick said.
Police were called about 9:40 p.m. Dec. 29 to the area of La Palma and Western avenues regarding a man who had been assaulted, Tomsick said.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, who was rushed to a hospital and later pronounced dead, Tomsick said.
Investigators have not released details about a possible motive or how the victim was killed, and it remains unclear how the two men knew each other, Tomsick said.
Just speculating, but something tells me this killing had drugs/alcohol and homelessness attached to it. With out accountability, we have more and more kaos. So many on the streets that are clearly on something, or maybe should be, under a Doctors care… Reasonable suspicion can get them off the streets….
