A Silver Alert was activated on behalf of an at-risk 71-year-old woman last seen Thursday in an unincorporated area near South Gate.
Angelita Murillo was last seen at 2 p.m. Thursday near Bell Avenue and East 81st Street in Florence-Firestone, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Murillo was described as a 5-foot-1-inch-tall woman weighing 150 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, pink pants, and black shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Murillo’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate searches for missing elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
