One man was killed and another person was hospitalized Tuesday in a Woodland Hills vehicle crash where police say the driver was under the influence.
Officers responded to the 5900 block of North Valley Circle Boulevard, at Canon Avenue, at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday where they found the victims inside the vehicle, which had slammed into a tree, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, where they freed the victims from the wreckage, police said.
Paramedics pronounced a passenger in the vehicle dead at the scene. He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as 20-year-old Aryan Boomwall.
The driver was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
