Lucy Curci Cancer Center at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage unveiled an art installation aimed to inspire and connect to the people who walk through the center, officials announced Tuesday.

Created by American contemporary artist Ryan Campbell, “Colors of Cancer” will serve as a message of unity of unity, compassion and hope, officials said.

“Everyone who walks into this building needs love, hope and support,” Campbell said in a statement. “This piece is meant to show them that they are not alone.”

The artwork’s design reflects each color representing different cancer awareness ribbons symbolizing love, strength and support.

Funding was provided by Eisenhower Health donor Deborah Page.

“Art has a unique ability to speak to the heart in ways words sometimes cannot,” Katie Schnaser, chief administrative officer, said in a statement. “Colors of Cancer reflects the shared strength of our patients, families and care teams while offering comfort, connection and hope to everyone who walks through our doors.”
