An argument that resulted in a stabbing and left one man wounded in the North Alamitos Beach neighborhood is under investigation, Long Beach Police Department said Wednesday.
Police responded at approximately 9:08 p.m. Monday to the 800 block of Cerritos Avenue and Seventh Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. When they arrived at the scene, officers found the victim suffering from stab wounds, the police department said.
The preliminary investigation indicates a male victim and a male suspect were involved in a neighbor dispute, which escalated to a stabbing, police said. Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a hospital in stable condition.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
