The investigation of a crash in Malibu that claimed the life of a16-year-old boy who was killed when a Tesla went over the side of Malibu Canyon Road was continuing Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday just north of Potter Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The victim, identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office as Hunter Langley, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a CHP spokesman.
Langley was a student at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth. His death prompted the school to cancel all athletic events Wednesday, including the final of the Mission League boys’ basketball tournament against Notre Dame.
