Dry and warm conditions were expected to continue in Riverside County this weekend, forecasters said Saturday.

Sunday’s temperatures were expected to reach a high of 83 degrees in the downtown Riverside area, 82 in Temecula, 80 in Hemet, 87 in the Coachella Valley and 85 in Palm Springs, according to the National Weather Service.

“High pressure aloft is expected to build over Southern California into Sunday. Influence from the high combined with weak offshore flow at the surface will result in an additional 3 to 7 degrees of warming across the area,” the NWS announced.

Cooler temperatures are expected by Tuesday, with Riverside reaching a high of 68, Temecula and Hemet 66, the Coachella Valley 78 and Palm Springs a high of 75.

By Wednesday, temperatures across the county were expected to drop another few degrees, but generally continuing in the high 60s and 70s until Friday.

“For next weekend, the pattern looks to remain unsettled with another upper level trough approaching the U.S. West Coast. This will maintain cooler weather with additional chances of precipitation,” the NWS said.
