A 40-year-old man was killed when a Kia sedan crashed into the center divider on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Castaic, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at 8:20 p.m. Sunday on the northbound Golden State Freeway just north of where the northbound and southbound sides cross over, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Jeffrey Silva died inside the vehicle, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.
Video from the scene showed the dark-colored, damaged Kia sedan with a disabled license plate being loaded onto a flatbed tow truck.
