A fire at the Target store at Westfield Culver City Thursday evening forced the entire mall to be evacuated.
The Los Angeles Fire Department dispatched 23 firefighters to join crews from the Culver City Fire Department at approximately 7:44 p.m. Thursday to assist them with the fire, LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton said.
The entire mall was evacuated and the fire was extinguished, ABC 7 reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
The fire came six days after a robbery at the mall resulted in Culver City’s first homicide since 2023, spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza told City News Service.
