A 29-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Lake Balboa Monday.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at about 6:10 a.m. Monday by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics following a crash at Balboa Boulevard and Saticoy Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
She was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Daisy Reyes.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and was cooperating with the investigation, according to an LAPD officer.
Metro buses were rerouted around the crash site, and drivers were advised to avoid the area while authorities investigated.
