A 13-year-old boy who went missing in Gardena has been located and the Ebony Alert activated in response to his disappearance has been canceled, authorities said Saturday.
The Gardena Police Department did not say where or when Chance William was located.
William had last been seen Friday at approximately 11:30 p.m. near 168th Street and South Western Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Saturday on behalf of the Gardena Police Department.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or abducted.
