A 78-year-old man last seen in December in East Los Angeles has been located, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Monday.
John Allen Buckley had last been seen at approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 17, 2025, near North Rowan Avenue and First Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated a Silver Alert for Buckley on behalf of the sheriff’s department.
Authorities released no details about Buckley’s location or condition when found.
The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate searches for missing elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
